Hi, I’m Sophie, the heart behind Inkling Creations! By day, I’m a freelance artist in the film industry, and by night (and most weekends), I dive headfirst into crafting my dream world here at Inkling Creations. This little corner of creativity is my outlet, my happy place, and my way of learning self-confidence and belief in myself as an artist.

And right beside me is my cocker spaniel, George, my tiny assistant with a big heart! He keeps me company while I create, reminds me to take breaks (usually with a wagging tail and a toy in mouth), and makes every day brighter.

I’ve always been creative, whether it was building props inspired by my favorite shows in product design class or crafting unique pieces for fun. But the true spark for Paw Print Valley came from two handmade squirrels, Larry and Tessa, that I created in college.

In an architecture class focused on experimenting with materials like cardboard and clay, I stood out (in the best way) by using recycled Coke cans and chicken wire to create my squirrels. While others built complex structures, I trusted my instincts and crafted something different.

That bravery to embrace what felt right to me planted the seeds of Paw Print Valley, a world where being different is celebrated and creativity knows no bounds.

Inkling Creations is my way of finding confidence, exploring joy, and building a world that feels like home. But it’s also for you—to inspire other artists and dreamers who might feel unsure of themselves. If you’ve ever doubted your ability, remember this: bravery doesn’t mean you don’t feel fear. It means you try anyway.
